Manchester United are interested in signing PSG midfielder Fabian Lewis during the summer transfer period.
The 29-year-old is a key player in the French outfit and helped win the league title and the UEFA Champions League trophy last season. He stands out in France and has the physicality and technical attributes to make it work in the Premier League as well.
According to a report by Footmercato, Manchester United is one of the players-focused clubs. It will be interesting to see if they can convince PSG to sell one of their best players.
Man United need a midfield controller
Manchester United need more quality and experience in the middle of the park, and the 29-year-old adds control, calm and drives to the side. The Spaniard is a hardworking player, and reports from a French publication compared him to a marathon runner. Manchester United certainly could use someone like him on the side.
The 29-year-old scored six goals last season and earned 11 assists. He was able to form solid partnerships with others such as Kobbie Mainoo and Manuel Ugarte. Lewis has linked his move to the UK with Arsenal in the past.
Can Man United persuade Fabian Lewis?
It will be interesting to see if Manchester United can convince him to join the club. He plays for one of the world’s biggest clubs, and joining the club without European football may not be attractive to him.
Manchester United is one of the biggest clubs in the world, but not the best club of recent seasons. It is still unknown how the situation will develop. It’s not easy to convince PSG to sell players.
Manchester United will need to address some of their weaknesses this summer, and quality central midfielders who can run the show from the middle of the park should be one of their priorities.
