Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Conor Gallagher of Atletico Madrid in the near future.
According to Fichajes, the two teams are preparing for a fierce battle to sign the 25-year-old England International. He is expected to leave the Spanish club in the future, and returning to the Premier League might be an interesting opportunity for him.
Man United and Spurs can use Conor Gallagher
Both teams believe they need to add more quality in the middle of the park and that Gallagher could be a missing part of their puzzle. The 25-year-old has shown his quality in Chelsea and Crystal Palace in the past. He adds physicality, drive and work rate to the sides.
He knows the league well and can quickly settle down and make an impact. The player has received high praise in the UK, and Mauricio Pockettino previously labeled him as a player with “special abilities.” He’s definitely enough for Manchester United and Tottenham. He was able to help both teams improve. He is at the peak of his career, and this may be the right time for two clubs to sign him.
He could become an important player for them in the coming years. It will be interesting to see if they can negotiate a reasonable deal with the LA La Liga club.
Spurs’ moves could seduce Gallagher
Gallagher will want to join an ambitious club that can compete for the trophy. Manchester United and Tottenham are one of the biggest clubs in the UK. They were able to provide him with the platform he needed. It will be interesting to see how things develop over the next few months.
Tottenham may be a more attractive destination for players. They will be able to offer him UEFA Champions League football this season. They recently won major trophies.
