Liverpool is interested in signing Club Bruges fullback Maxim Dequiper at the end of the season.
According to an Anfield Watch report, the Reds had extensive scouts of the 24-year-old fullback last year, allowing them to make the move for him in the summer.
The Belgian defender is of course left-back, but he is versatile enough to operate on either side. He was able to prove he is the ideal utility man for Liverpool. Arsenal and Chelsea are keeping an eye on him too.
Liverpool can use Maxim de Cuyper
Liverpool will need to find quality alternatives for Andrew Robertson in the summer. The Scottish defender has been so overwhelming this season that the Belgians could prove to be an interesting alternative.
De Cuyper has shown he is extremely reliable defensively in the Champions League this season, and he will remain just as good in the future. He presented an outstanding performance against Aston Villa in the Champions League earlier this season.
The player has four goals and seven assists in his name in all competitions. The move to Liverpool is ideal for him at this stage of his career. They were able to help him improve further. Regular British football was also able to accelerate his development.
Liverpool also have other options for radar
Liverpool also links to players like Milos Kerquez. It would be interesting to see who they end up. It’s no secret that you need to sign a quality left back in the summer. Both De Cuyper and Kerkez are of high quality.
Liverpool is one of the largest clubs in the world, and the opportunity to participate in them will be difficult for most players to refuse. They have won the Premier League title this season and will do well in next year’s Champions League. De Cuyper will certainly be seduced to join them if the opportunity presents itself.
