Newcastle United are locked up in the signature of Brentford striker Yoan Wyssa.

The 28-year-old Congo International reportedly agreed to personal terms with the Magpie, and the two clubs are currently negotiating transfer fees, according to Sachata Bolierieli.

The talks are ongoing and Newcastle is pushing for quick business completion. Wissa was a Brentford standout performer last season, scoring 20 goals in all competitions. He will be a valuable addition to his team, especially as the club prepares to compete in the UEFA Champions League.

Wissa’s arrival will reduce the offensive burden Alexander Isaacwho took on many of the goalscoring responsibilities last season. With multiple competition on the horizon, Newcastle needs the depth and reliability of the attack, and Wissa fits perfectly with the bill.

At 28, Wissa is at the peak of his career and is keen to take the next step. By joining a Champions League club like Newcastle, he offers the opportunity to show off his talent on a bigger stage. The move will not only strengthen his profile, but also give him an experienced and dynamic forward who can have an immediate impact on Newcastle.

Will Newcastle be able to sign Wissa this summer?

Wissa will soon try to sort out his future so that she can focus on pre-season preparations. Newcastle’s ambitious projects and powerful European aspirations are attractive suggestions for players like him. If the transaction passes, it can take another important step for Eddiehau’s part.

The Strikers are also linked to clubs like Tottenham Hotspur. He wants to secure ambitious moves this summer, but it remains to be seen where he will ultimately go.
