Newcastle United are interested in signing Cardiff City attacker Jack Sykes during the summer transfer period.
According to a report from the EFL analysis, several Premier League clubs were keen to the players, and Newcastle United also wanted to secure his signature. They will face competition from bitter rival Sunderland, who has secured promotion to the Premier League for their upcoming campaign.

The 16-year-old is highly regarded nationwide and he could prove to be an excellent long-term acquisition for both clubs. He scored 29 goals at Cardiff City youth level last season. It’s not surprising that multiple clubs are enthusiastic about him.
He has proven to be a long-term investment for most teams. Newcastle has an ambitious project and they want to bring together a scary team for the future. It’s no surprise that they’re keen on 16 years old. He could be a quality player for them in the long run. Newcastle was doing well to groom the talented young players, and they managed to develop him into a future star.

Jack Sykes may enjoy big moves
Newcastle has the finances to continue the contract. It should also not be that difficult for them to convince Sykes to join the club. They are one of the largest clubs in the country and have secured qualifications for the UEFA Champions League next season.
Though the 16-year-old is unlikely to be part of the first team any time soon, he aims to force his path to setting up his first team in the future.
It will be interesting to see if Sunderland can beat Newcastle to his signature. They could also be an attractive destination for players. They may be able to offer him the opportunity for the first team in the near future.
