Newcastle United are trying to add more quality and depth to the middle of the park, identifying Gabri Beiga as a target.
According to the Journalist Santi Aouna of Footmercato, they have turned to signing the Spanish midfielder and are hoping to bring him back from Al-Ahli to Europe.
Newcastle can use midfield depth
The 22-year-old has received high praise for his time in La Liga and was able to prove that he was a useful acquisition of Newcastle. The Spanish playmaker has seven goals and five assists in the Saudi Arabian professional league this season. He will enter the final year of his contract this summer.
This may be the ideal opportunity for Newcastle to secure his signature in a reasonable amount. They need more depth and cutting edge in the final third, and the 22-year-old will help create opportunities to score goals.
The move to the Premier League can be very exciting for midfielders as well. He showed his quality in Spain and Saudi Arabia. He could now be open to trying new challenges in the Premier League.
Gabri Veiga might want to join
Newcastle is a big club with ambitious projects. They have won the national trophy this season and are also looking for Champions League qualifiers. If they can qualify for the Champions League next season, they will be an attractive destination for players.
The 22-year-old could be drawn to the idea of joining Newcastle. He was heavily linked to his move to the Premier League before moving to Saudi Arabia. Several clubs in the Premier League also tried to sign him at the beginning of the season.
