Tottenham Hotspur was tied to the moves of Manchester City attacker Savinho during the summer transfer.
The 21-year-old struggles with regular game times for Premier League clubs, and he may need to move on to play more frequently. Tottenham is monitoring his situation and was able to consider making a move for him in January.
Will Tottenham sign Sabinho?
Pete O’Rourke told Football Insider:
“He’s probably thinking he needs to potentially play ahead of the World Cup year against Brazil.
“City really doesn’t want to lose him, they’ll want to keep him at least until the end of the season.
“I’m sure he’ll get plenty of game time, but I’m sure the Spurs will certainly continue to monitor his situation at City.”
The Brazilian is not a key player in Manchester City. It will be interesting to see if he decided to move on in January. He could be a very useful acquisition for Tottenham.
Sabigno wants to be part of the Brazilian national team for the upcoming World Cup and will need to play regularly at the club level. Tottenham can offer him the opportunity later in the season. If Manchester City cannot provide him with the necessary guarantees, it would be ideal for players to move on.
Where will Savinho go?
Tottenham tries to use his situation in Manchester City to close the deal. If they can sign him for a reasonable amount, that could be a notable acquisition for them. He was young enough to improve further, and he was able to develop into the club’s future asset.
It will be interesting to see if Manchester City can convince players to continue with the club. They should provide him with regular opportunities between now and January windows.
