Tottenham Hotspur explores the moves of Sunderland defender Dennis Silkin when the transfer window reopens in January, according to TBR.
They want to add to the club’s homemade allocation, and ideally return to the 23-year-old club. Cirkin went through the ranks of Tottenham and he has come very well for Sunderland.
Tottenham has tried to sign Chilkin in the past.
Dennis Chilkin might be a useful option
There is no doubt that he has the quality to play for the London Club. He was able to help them improve. Spurs could use more depth in the left-back division, and it would be interesting to see if they can complete the transaction.
The player is the final year of his contract with Sunderland and is under pressure to sell the player during the January window. They wouldn’t want to lose quality players with free transfers. The opportunity to return to Tottenham is extremely exciting for a 23-year-old. He could experience your football with them and he could also fight for the trophy.
Players will want to compete at a high level. He would be ideal to join the London Club. It remains to be seen whether the two clubs will be able to negotiate reasonable deals in the coming months.
Spurs need more depth
Tottenham has done well to improve their teams, but if you want to fight regularly for major trophies, you will need to add more depth.
Cirkin was a young player with many potential and he was able to grow into a key member of the first team team. The 23-year-old has known the club well since his days at the academy, and he may be able to settle down quickly and make an immediate impact.
