Manchester United has been linked to the moves of Nigerian international striker Victor Osimhen over the past few months.
The striker is currently being financed by Turkish club Galatasaray, originally from Naples. He’s great for them and it’s not surprising that the story is watching him.
However, a Givemesport report claims Manchester United has abandoned the 26-year-old striker’s pursuit. The player wants a favorable wage to join the Premier League club, and he is willing to lower his demands.
Manchester United need to improve their multiple areas and it’s no surprise that they have chosen to leave Osimhen’s transfer. The report alleges that they were willing to pay the £65 million asking price, but the wage demands robbed them of their transfer plans.
It will be interesting to see if Manchester United can bring in quality strikers in the summer. They looked toothless in offense this season, and they need to improve in that area of the pitch.
Victor Osimhen is a world class striker
There’s no doubt that Osimhen is a world-class striker. He has been praised in the past by Italian media as the “power of nature.” The striker deserves to play at a high level and join one of the world’s biggest clubs, but he must lower his wage demands to complete the transaction.
It is still unclear how things will develop over the next few weeks.
Osimhen has no future for Napoli, and they need to quickly organize their long-term future. It appears unlikely he will sign Galatasaray in a permanent deal and he may try to join a big club.
