Alexander Isaac has been linked to travelling from Newcastle United over the summer, but the Magpie has not yet approved his departure.
The player has made it clear he wants to join Liverpool this summer, but Newcastle has asserted that he won’t leave unless he finds a quality alternative. They have already turned down a considerable offer from the Premier League champions.
Newcastle may be in trouble
According to a report from the Mirror, Newcastle is currently setting a bad precedent for future relocations. They may face repulsions from players as well as agents in the future. It is clear that talented young players often join mid-table clubs and use them as stepping stones. New players will rethink about joining Newcastle in the future, especially if it makes it difficult for players to move on.
Alexander Isaac wants to move on
Isak is an extraordinary performer for Newcastle and he wants to move to a bigger club now. He is at the peak of his career and wants to play for a team where he can win major trophies. Newcastle is not at that level yet. It would have been ideal for the player to move on to fulfill his ambitions.
It’s pointless to hold onto the player against his wishes. Swedish International was very clear in his stance, and he communicated his desire for the club in advance. However, Newcastle is not enjoying any potential moves for now. Additionally, they missed multiple attack targets, making it difficult to consider an international departure for Sweden.
It will be interesting to see how things develop over the next few weeks. The player has already skipped the preseason with Newcastle and he has not yet joined the team due to the Premier League campaign. It will be interesting to see if he can convince Newcastle to eventually leave.
