Reuben Amorim has struggled with Manchester United this season, not only has his results and performance been criticised, but his team’s choices have also raised eyebrows.
The Portuguese manager joined the club last year and replaced former manager Eric Ten Hagg.
However, after finishing 15th in the Premier League last season, Amorim was expected to be excellent at the club this season.
After four league games this season, nothing has changed for the Red Devils this season, sitting in the lower half of the Premier League table.
The defeats against Arsenal and Manchester City in the Premier League, and Grimsby Town in the Carabao Cup, questioned Amorim’s long-term future at Old Trafford.

The hierarchy believes the club’s fate will change as they provided financial support to their managers during the summer transfer period, but they were wrong.
According to Talksport journalist Alex Crook, Man United Players are “confusing” by their managers this season for not showing their faith in midfielder Kobbie Mainoo.
United Academy alumni have seen just 73 minutes of action in four Premier League games with little time to play this season.
Amorim made it clear that he would not change his philosophy and his methods. The formation he uses at the club has led Mainoo to compete with club captain Bruno Fernandez, where he competes in the starting lineup, making it difficult for him to break into the side who will take over Fernandez’s importance.
Journalists also reported that Mainoo wanted to leave the club during the summer transfer period, but United refused to let him leave, saying he was still part of their plans.
Kobbie Mainoo is attracting interest from Premier League clubs
Surprisingly, Amorim’s team selection doesn’t show that the midfielder is upset with Old Trafford.
Newcastle United is interested in the moves of Man United stars, where Eddie Howe is acclaimed of England International.
The latest report suggests that Manchester City is focusing on Mainoo and can make a move for him if he is available.
Mainoo deserves more play, considering Amorim wasted Mainoo’s talent at the club and no other options work for him.
