Manchester United has a share of drama with each season, with 2025/26 being no exception.
The results and performances this season are not big, and we are being asked about Reuben Amorim and his future as a club manager.
The Red Devils struggle to pull out the best under Amorim, and his formation and tactics are of particular concern to some players.
One of them didn’t look like the player last season.
Amad Diallo struggles with Man United performance
Playing on the right field, Amado was one of the team’s best players last season and gave an inspiring performance. Amado lost his touch as the manager signed him with Brian Mbeumo in the summer.
It’s the opening of former United star Lee Sharpe, who revealed how Amado is struggling under Amorim this season.
“When you have a winger backing your wings and you have to protect it from your corner flag, it takes a little time from you to do that on the other end.” Sharpe told Aceodds.com, as reported by Metro.
“He was our best player in the early parts of our season, and then he got that injury.
“I don’t think it’s great for someone like him to play No. 10, then wingback, and somewhere. It’s a bit of a throwback out of your rhythm.
“He’s a wide player so it’s very difficult to push him in as No. 10. That’s not giving him any boon. He’s definitely suffering under the Amorim formation.”
Reuben Amorim needs to make changes soon
Amado was unable to show his best this season, and for anyone who had such a big impact last season, it is a sign of concern for the club.
The wingback position is not suitable for the player and it is clear that he will make the pitch even better.
Amorim made some unpopular decisions this season and didn’t change his tactics, which could ultimately end up costing him United’s job.
