Liverpool is increasingly leaning towards Aintrak Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitique as their top target this summer. Catch off side I understand.
The talented young Frenchman has really caught his eye with 21 goals and eight assists in all competitions so far this season.
Sources close to the situation have notified us Catch off side The Liverpool scouts were there to see Ekitique scored in the Europa League last week with an impressive performance to Tottenham.
Ekitike could cost at least 85 million euros this summer, but sources have asserted that Liverpool is “seriously considering” the 22-year-old’s move.
Hugo Ekichike Transfer is looking to replace Liverpool’s Darwin Nunes, but Arsenal is also enthusiastic
Catch off side We also understand that Ekitike is one of the names on Arsenal’s list this summer, along with other big names such as Viktor Gyoker and Benjamin Sesko.
However, while Gunners still settle on their preferred targets in that position, the LFC appears to be increasingly keen on making Ekitique replace Darwinnes.
Nunes is seen as very likely to leave Anfield at the end of the season, and Ekitike appears to be a great signature to give the Reds an offensive upgrade.
Ekitice previously had been in a spell as a young man at Paris Saint-Germain, but he has finally shown great potential in Frankfurt this season.
It will be interesting to see if Ekitike stepped up to a big club again and can count that this time.
Liverpool looks perfect. It should also be an attractive project for him as the club has grown stronger since he appointed Arne Slot as manager.
