As reported by Dainik Bhaskar, Rinku Singh and Priya Saroj were engaged on June 8th at the luxury five-star hotel in Lucknow, and their wedding will be held on November 18th at Varanasi’s iconic Taj Hotel. Top cricketers, movie stars and famous politicians are expected to take part in the wedding.

The Kolkata Knight Rider (KKR) batter has already become a fan favorite in the IPL and has almost solidified his place with the Indian T20I team, but Priyasarroj has made the headlines as Mashrishal’s young Roksaba MP. Their union is expected to be a star-studded event.
Earlier this year, Priya’s father, SP leader Tufani Saroj, confirmed that both families met several times and after warm and thoughtful discussions, they approved the relationship between Rinku and Priya. Their love story began through mutual friends, whose father is also cricketers.
Tufani Saroj said, “Rinku and Priya have known each other for over a year now. They liked each other, but they needed consent to the family relationship. Both families agreed to this marriage.”
Who is Priya Saroj?
Priya Saroj is from a small village in Kalkyaon, Varanasi. She quickly named her name in Indian politics after winning the seat of Lok Sabah in Machalirishar in Jaunpur district, representing the Samajwadi Party (SP) last year.
Before joining politics, Priya was a lawyer for the Supreme Court. However, Priya’s political journey really began in 2022 when he saw his father in the elections of Uttar Pradesh. The campaign led her to the public scene and marked the beginning of her own political journey.

Priya received her Bachelor of Arts from Delhi University and later received her Law degree from Amity University in Noida. Legal knowledge, grassroots connections and political passions quickly made her a strong voice for young people and women.

Meanwhile, Rinku Singh was recently active in IPL 2025, when Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) failed to qualify for the playoffs. Rinku averaged 29.42 and had a strike rating of 206 runs and 153.73, with a top score of 153.73 in 13 innings this season.
KKR finished eighth in the IPL 2025 points table with 12 points and a net run percentage of -0.305 thanks to five wins out of 14 matches. After his season was disappointing, their family met at Aligall and confirmed their engagement and wedding dates.
