Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand gave some transfer advice to the former club before the summer.
The Red Devils could give new manager Reuben Amorim the freedom to make changes to his team in the next transfer window.
One player who could face an uncertain future is Alejandro Garnacho, who has had an inconsistent season and is in and out of the Man UTD team.
Ferdinand himself previously advised Garnacho to leave Old Trafford and spoke on his YouTube channel about the inappropriate Argentina International being Amorim’s theatrical style.
But now the former United defender has revealed that Garnacho wants to stay.
Rio Ferdinand of Alejandro Garnacho Transfer
After winning last night over Lyon, critics who praised Garnacho’s “devastating” qualities emphasized that they would like to see Amorim give another chance to his 20-year-old child.
“When there’s space to come across, Alejandro Garnacho can be a truly devastating threat,” Ferdinand said on TNT Sports as Metro quoted.
“Yes, he needs to work on that final product, but he’s still a young and improved player, so that’s going to come.
“I’ll stick with him. I think Manchester United should stick with him.”
Garnacho looks like a player with a potential bag, but he definitely doesn’t really show it, so it might be appealing for the club to pay him cash and try something different.
Still, there is a top talent somewhere. Amorim should not be too fast to send packing to him, as it may be difficult to find an alternative in the market.
Garnacho certainly continues to shine elsewhere, and it could eventually become a sale that ended up living together and regretting.
