After the match, Dillingham said: “There’s no need to even explain it.
“We’re very proud of him. He’s certainly going to be something special.”
Dillingham was pleased with the overall team performance and scored 98-91 against the Pelicans.
He added:
In the midst of excitement over Joan Bellinger, Rob Dillingham’s performance flew under the radar.
The 2024 draft pick scored 15 points, but his shooting from the field was inefficient, with only four at 14. This included a 3, which is more efficient to 3 to 6.
Terrence Shannon and Leonard Miller both scored 20 points each, and along with Bellinger, it was four players.
Dillingham added in a post-match interview that he is targeting the title in the Summer League, and his team is off to a promising start.
