Chelsea are interested in signing Barcelona, attacking Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez during the summer transfer period.
The 22-year-old is tied to a move away from the Spanish champions, and Chelsea hopes to close the deal. According to Fabrizio Romano, they submitted an offer of 40 million euros to sign the players.
Fermin Lopez is the outlook for an elite
The 22-year-old is a promising young player with a bright future, and Barcelona is not keen to let him go. Romano argues that the only way a transfer is successful is if the player decides to force his exit. His future is in his hands now.
It will be interesting to see if players are willing to join Chelsea this summer. It’s very surprising if he decides to force an exit from his boyhood club to join the Premier League side. The move to the Premier League is extremely exciting and it is undoubtedly one of Chelsea and one of the biggest clubs in the world. However, he has already won a major trophy at Barcelona, and there is no reason to go further.
Chelsea can use Lopez
Meanwhile, Chelsea could use more creativity in the final third, and Lopez would be an exceptional acquisition. He can run not only on the sides but also on the central. He creates opportunities for his teammates and helps him add the unpredictability needed for the final third with his talent.
If they can get the deal done, there’s no doubt that he’ll be a great long-term investment for the club. Signing a caliber player for 40 million euros could represent a bargain.
However, this deal will be difficult to withdraw, and it is still unclear how the situation will unfold.
