Rory McIlroy, who finished fifth in the Houston Open on Sunday in a tie, said he has been suffering from his right elbow recently when ramping up for the master.
However, McIlroy sounded like he didn’t think it would affect his game.
“My right elbow is bothering me a little, so I’ll have some treatment about it and make sure it’s okay to get into Augusta,” McIlroy, World No. 2, said after filming the final round of 64.
“I still feel like there’s something to work on. I don’t think my game is absolutely 100% under the control I want. I’m coming to Coach, Michael Bannon, (Monday), so we’ll work from home and make sure the game feels good so that it gets into the master.”
McIlroy, who won the Texas Open this week, won twice on the PGA Tour this season. He only needs victory at Master to complete his career Grand Slam.
The Masters will be performed at Augusta National from April 10th to 13th.
