The Warriors and former All Blacks center Roger Twiversa Sheck are reportedly close to signing a deal with breakaway rugby competition rugby360 in a valuable deal of nearly $1 million per season.

According to Sydney Morning Herald Reports say Tuivasa-Sheck is in negotiations to sign a competition in 2027, winning the final year of his contract with the Warriors next year.

It is also reported that Tuivasa-Sheck is making nearly $550,000 per season with the Warriors, with his new contract set to double his revenue at the R360.

The 32-year-old is reportedly not the only NRL star in the breakaway league scene with Melbourne storm star Ryan Pappenhuizen.

Warriors CEO Cameron George said Herald He raised concerns about a new rugby competition with the NRL.

“I raised it at a recent CEO meeting and ensured that everyone is aware of the real, authentic rugby 360 concept,” George said.

“I know players who have been interviewed and engaged, and I know the important financial opportunities that can bring to the centre of the player branding as an individual.”

What is rugby360?

Former England Centre Mike Tindall, Birth Executive Stuart Hooper, Markspools, Wasserman, US Sports Marketing and Talent Management Agency and former Livgolf lawyer, John Lough Hagen Break Away Competition aims to be a tier above club rugby.

The competition includes four women’s teams for eight men’s and four women’s teams to compete in a condensed seasonal format, with the league playing in “Grand Prix” style events around the world.

The concept uses the Indian Premier League (IPL) and LIV Golf as sports vandals.

Already, the league is reportedly attracting interest from backers in the Premier League, Formula One and NFL.

Where does the money come from?

The funds for the competition reportedly include sports-specialized investment funds and private investments from Saudi Arabia, the US and the UK.

According to reports from City AMthe competition has received all the funds needed to kick off in 2026 by 2027.

Where will the R360 be held?

The R360 has plans to take place around the world, including locations such as Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Barcelona’s Now Camp and Mobis in Sao Paulo, but also mentions New York and Los Angeles.

When will the R360 be held?

While it’s hard to find space in an already complicated rugby calendar, the R360 has already turned to playing 16-match seasons in two windows, from April to June and June to August to August, with rounds being held every week in different cities.

This, of course, means that competition can take place across the international window of the Southern Hemisphere, and eliminate players from playing for the national team.

Why was the R360 developed?

Secret Rugby around the world has not struggled with at least 12 professional aspects of Super Rugby Pacific’s Melbourne rebels and Premiership hornets and Worcester RC, which have been out of business in recent years, but seven in 10 people in the UK borrow more than they do.

Meanwhile, broadcast deals such as those seen in Australia and the UK mean that rugby was placed behind a paywall that reduced audience involvement.

According to Tindall, “Rugby has felt the fallout of recent years due to economic mismanagement, reducing products that have struggled to invest and evolve in club games.

“Clubs around the world are feeling nervous and supported by international games.

“The lack of rugby innovation and the ability to change the risk of losing its appeal to new audiences and their younger markets.”
