In his favourite India, Ruthuraj Gaikwad led the West Zone innings on the first day of the Durep Trophy with the Central Zone. The right-handed batters secured the team for a century, but Indian batsmen Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shreiyas Ayer struggled to make an impact.
Rathuraj came to the crease on the first day of the semifinals (Thursday, September 3rd) when the Westzone collapsed on 10/2. The batter showed off his skills and calm on the challenging pitch. He added 82 partnerships with Aarya Desai for the third wicket. Ruturaj also added Shreyas Ayer and a 45 run stand.

Ruturaj Gaikwad was a standout performer for West Zone on the first day. While the other batters struggled, Geiquad locked innings and won the first century of the 8th century from 131 balls. He remained unbeaten with 121 at Teebreak, helping the West Zone reach 237/5 in 58 overs.

Right-handed batsmen have developed key partnerships to stabilize the innings. Tanush Kotian also contributed to 50 people, ensuring the team remains in a competitive position.
Gaiquad took on the Central Zone bowler in diplomacy. He doubled and was confused for 184 from Saransh Jain. His knock effectively saved the West Zone and placed them on top. This performance could also enhance your chances of returning to the national team.

As India prepares for a home test series with the West Indies next month, Geiquad’s consistent form has allowed him to score his much-anticipated debut in this format. He had previously received the first test call-up in the West Indies series in 2023.
In limited-over cricket, Gaiquad played six ODIs and 23 T20Is for India, leading the national team to the gold medal in men’s cricket at the 2022 Asian Games.
