Phoenix Suns rookie Ryandan has been a bright spot for a low-performing team this season.
There is a guarantee of much criticism about the Phoenix Suns this season. They didn’t expect to sit 11th in the Western Conference at this stage of the season.
Udonis Haslem called out the Suns for not adding enough talent around Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beale.
But the move that the Suns got right was picking up Ryandan in the 2024 NBA Draft.
Dan scored 17 points in his recent victory with the Raptors.

Ryan Dunn has spoken about the early stages of his NBA career and the dream experience of playing with two-time champion Kevin Durant.
Speaking to the Run Your Race podcast, Dunn admitted, “KD is my favorite player.”
Asked about what it’s like to play and practice with Durant, Dunn says his approach is trying to absorb as much information as possible.
Dan said: “He really didn’t miss out. All the reps are the same. I think he does very well. I’m grateful that he has him, Devin and Brad. I know how he’s in the game. I’m observing.
“They really imagine picking where they are going.
“I see him watching at work every day and understand why he is Kevin Durant.
Dan told him that Durant took part in the practice and fired him right away, helping him build confidence to step up. But he most of all, he still likes to watch and learn.
He added:
Durant sets very high standards in his career, so if his team is not winning the game, he is getting criticism if he comes with the territory that he is a superstar. But the respect his young teammates have for him reminds him of what he has achieved and the respect he has from his peers.
Dan added that there are important advice he received from Durant. “We’re going during training camp, me and him.
Ryan Dunn also looked back on his NBA Draft experience and saw him eventually drafted the Phoenix Suns. He came in 28th for the Denver Nuggets, and he traded him for his final destination.
Dan said there were three teams he heard he was enthusiastic: the Celtics, Suns and Knicks. His biggest focus is on the latter.
He said: “I had feelings. My three were Boston, Phoenix and New York. I’m a New York kid. I’m hearing all this.
“Phoenix wasn’t in the last few days until the second half of the process.”
He said he was “stressed” when the Knicks handed him over and instead took Pacom Dadiette at age 26 before his final path took him to the Phoenix Suns.
