Pakistan National Cricket Team Captain Salman Aga broke the silence by skipping the captain’s photoshoot before the Asian Cup 2025 final with India’s National Cricket Team skipper Suryakumalyadav.

India and Pakistan will face each other in the high voltage summit clash at the Asian Cup 2025 at Dubai International Stadium on Sunday, September 28th.

If he wants to come, he can. If he doesn’t, that’s fine too – Salman Aga

There is a tradition of captains from two teams playing in the finals, taking part in pre-match photo shoots just before the summit collision. This can be seen in all tournaments around the world, including the World Cup, the Champions Trophy, IPL, BBL, SA20 and other leagues.

However, in Asia Cup 2025, things are about to change as there is no photoshoot of the captain before the final of the continental tournament, and there is no captain between the blue man and the man.

According to several media reports, the captain’s photo shoot was cancelled after Indian skipper Suryakumal Yadav refused to attend it at his Pakistani counterpart.

When asked about Suryakumar Yadav, Salman Agha reportedly refused to come for a photo shoot at the press conference, said he followed the protocol and that Indian skipper can do whatever he wants to do.

“We’ll follow the protocol. If he wants to come, he can. Otherwise, that’s fine too,” said the skipper of the Pakistan National Cricket Team.

If someone wants to be aggressive on the ground, why? – Salman Aga

In a Super 4 match against India, Harrisrauf saw him making a paranoid jet crash gesture, but Subzadafahan stopped the gun celebrations the duo had been re-evaluated by the ICC.

However, Salman Aga stops players from doing provocative things against India and continues to support them, not feeling like staying within their limits.

“Everyone has their own way. If someone wants to be aggressive on the ground, why not? If you take the aggression from a fast bowler, what remains?

“Every player knows how to deal with their emotions. As a captain, I give any player a free hand and react to the ground unless they disrespect or do anything to our people. Until someone does that, there’s no problem with me,” he added.

Saim Ayub is someone who can serve Pakistan for the next 10 years – Salman Agha

Young top batter Saim Ayub, who Pakistanis consider to be the country’s next major player, bagged four ducks at the 2025 Asian Cup.

“Sym Ayub is someone who can serve Pakistan for the next 10 years. Players like him should be supported. He is still contributing to bowling and fielding. I hope he scores tomorrow.”

While talking about his own flop show at the 2025 Asian Cup, Salman Aga said he has a poor performance and is looking to improve. He said:

“My performance shouldn’t have been that way. I know this and I’m working on it.”
