Mumbai batsman Sarfaraz Khan has been injured at the worst possible time and has been ruled out of action for quite some time, according to TOI reports.

He carried his good form to international cricket and played some impactful knocks for India before being dropped. Despite his less bad performance, he was snubled for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy.

He was subjected to an incredible transformation, losing 17kg in two months, featuring the Kanga League and Buchibabu Invitational Tournaments. The 27-year-old has broken for centuries in a Buchibab Invitational with TNCA XI and Haryana to send a message to the selector.

Sulfaraz was scheduled to play in the West Zone, the defending champions in the semi-final clash with the Central Zone from September 4th at the BCCI COE in Bengaluru, but he was ruled out for three weeks due to a major quadriceps injury.
“Sulfaraz suffers from a quadriceps injury and picked up five days ago during a century scoring with Haryana at the Buchi Babu event. He is scheduled to go out for almost three weeks and is currently rehabilitating at COE.”
Shivalik Sharma could be replaced by a team on behalf of Sarfaraz Khan. Meanwhile, central zone skipper Dhruv Jurel, who missed a match against the Northeast due to a gro caliber injury, has also been ruled out from the semi-final against the West Zone.
He was replaced by Upendra Yadav on the team, and Yash Thakur joined the side as a replacement for Kuldeep Yadav, who is scheduled to travel to the UAE for Asia Cup 2025.

Recently, while Naushad Khan, father of Sarfaraz Khan, spoke with Revsportz, he said he lost weight with his son. He explained in detail:
“I took off 30 kg. I was 122 kg before, but now I was 92 kg. We all, Sulfaraz, Moosia, I benefited according to a strict dietary schedule.”
“He followed the schedule given by the NCA (Excellent Center Excellence) as far as his fitness is concerned.
