The latest “Inside Ducati” YouTube video captures Marc Marquez discussing his heavy training accident with Assen with the Ducati team.
Back in the garage, Marquez is soon surrounded by things like Gigi d’Or Dina, the general manager of the Ducati Cors, waiting to understand his condition and what happened.
“I came in too quickly towards the conditions of the truck,” Marquez says in the video.
Dall’igna replies: “The important thing is that you’re fine.”
“I was a huge hit here with my (left) arm, and this hand was paralyzed, as if it had been blocked,” adds Marquez.
Later, he discusses the incident with his teammate Francesco Bagnaia, and Marquez explains.
“(It was lap three)… I made a mistake with the rear device after a very slow lap. I started again and didn’t have the perfect temperature.”
Marquez suffered another violent fall in the afternoon.
“It would have been better (without the big gravel stones),” he told Bagnaia.
Cutting his chin and talking to the media, he said: “The gravel is too big, and we need to fix it next year.
“I couldn’t breathe. I slid down on the gravel and it all created (my injury)… There’s a rock for the gravel.”
Despite his rough start to his Dutch weekend, Marquez quickly returned to the top, extending his MotoGP title lead with a sprint and Grand Prix victory.
“The fingers are paralyzed. Winning is an anesthetic!” says Mark during his Sunday victory celebration.
However, it wasn’t just his face and hands that were injured Friday, but Marquez hit another “sensitive” area.
“There’s still a big ball after the crash!” they joked with Dall’igna as they celebrate with Parc Ferme.
Holding her by Dr. MotoGP Angel Charte, Marquez said, “This weekend he saw my balls more than my girlfriend!”
