Scott Dixon tops IndyCar final practice at the Milwaukee 250

Chip Ganassi’s Scott Dixon finished at the top of the timing sheet in his final practice at Milwaukee.

Dixon, who finished fifth in his previous qualifying session, set a top lap speed of 156.712. This is much slower than Alex Pallow’s fastest single lap, over 163 mph on his qualifying run.

With all the alternative tires, stiffer compounds, the driver could have been running race simulations for preparation for tomorrow.

Dixon was given a sixth place grid penalty in Sunday’s race after winning the seventh engine for the season.

Dixon was followed by David Marcus of AJ Voyt in a practice session, setting the highest lap speed of 154.871 mph, 2 mph slower than Dixon

Marcus appeared to take his first pole position in qualifying early today after setting the fastest average of 162.256.

After setting an average slower state of 0.2 mph than Marca, O’ward only ran by Arrow Pato O’ward and Alex Pallow, and O’ward escaped.

Palou went on the next trajectory, setting an incredible first lap average speed of 163.297 mph, followed by another lap of 162.647 mph, giving an overall average of 162.971.

Malukas is impressive with an oval track in all seasons and is aiming for his first victory tomorrow, but Palou has proven to be a formidable competition in 2025.

Palou finished his final practice in 6th place, but Oward was found for the eighth time.

After crashing in qualifying, Felix Rosenqvist managed to get back on track, but he was consistently setting a top lap speed of 147.319.

Rosenqvist, who won the highest average qualifying average for eggs in 2025 before the incident, starts from behind the grid after failing to set a single lap time.

Nolan Siegel qualified 18th, rounded out the top three with his final practice with a top lap speed of 154.514 mph.
