Scott Reading admits he is unsure of his race plans beyond 2025, but he assures that he intends to “end the 2025 World SBK season.”
Reading, who began his season with three top-five finishes in Australia’s World Sve in February, has struggled to be in the top-10 since the series returned to Europe in March, achieving it only four times in the last five rounds.
There was also uncertainty about the future of the MGM Bonovo team, and it was rumored that they were struggling to make Emilia-Romagna a round in June.
However, Redding hopes to at least achieve the end of the 2025 world superbike season, but his own future remains unclear beyond that.
“Next year, I don’t know,” Scott Reading told worldsbk.com ahead of this weekend’s UK round.
“It’s a difficult situation to come up with. The plan is to end the 2025 WorldSBK season.”
As for the UK round itself, Redding has shown that he is targeting the top 10 finish on the MGM Bonovo Ducati.
“I’m really excited,” Reading said.
“This has always been a great atmosphere in Donington and we seem to have great weather.
“I think Phillip Island was at the wrong level of what we could do.
“We went there and everyone took the same amount of testing, and it was on a pretty level because it was a truck we don’t actually go to.
“When we returned to Europe, we knew it would be difficult. I pushed a lot to test at Portimao, but that didn’t happen, and from there it was difficult.
“I do a big test on the bike setup over the race weekend.
“We don’t show where we are, but I think the top 10 is where I need it.”
