Sergio Pettis vs. Raufeon Stots added on June 27th PFL Event

Sergio Pettis and Raufeon Stots have put their friendship aside for a fight night.

The former Bellator Bantamweight title holder is scheduled to face off at the PFL’s June 27th event at Wintrust Arena in Chicago. Pettis vs. Stots will be billed as a showcase match and open your main card. The main card features light heavyweight and middleweight tournament semi-finals.

Pettis (23-7) takes part in the next battle with consecutive defeats at the hands of Yoji Horigchi and Patchy Mix, appearing to bounce off a rare losing streak. Before this slump, Pettis won three bantamweight championship matches, taking it from Juan Archureta, then knocking out Our Lady Iguchi and putting out the Patricio Pitbull to prevent him from becoming the three division champion.

He dropped his title to Patchy Mix in Bellator 301 and lost his rematch to Horigchi at the Rizin event this June.

Stots (21-2) achieved his second straight win since mixing into his own championship defeat. The former interim title holder recorded consecutive victories with Marcos Breno and longtime rival Danny Sabatello.

The June 27th PFL event will be headlined by Fabian Edwards, who will face Josh Silveyra in the middleweight semi-finals, while light heavyweight competitors Phil Davis and Sullivan Corey will meet in the joint main event.
