According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal will send Chelsea an opening bid for British winger Noni Maduce.
Romano, a former Twitter posting on X, revealed that after the gunner agreed to the player and personal terminology, it is stepping up its efforts to sign Madueke.
The 23-year-old is said to have accepted Arsenal’s five-year contract offer, and it will be interesting to see how negotiations are progressing between the two clubs.

Romano said: “Arsenal will send out a Noni Madue opening bid after agreeing with the player on personal terms. Madueke said it is committed to a five-year transaction that is valid until June 2030, which has already been approved by the player’s camp,” he said. ”
Noni Maduke is not the signature most Arsenal fans dreamed of
It’s probably fair to say that this is not the signature that most Arsenal fans dream of this summer.
The North London Giants need a new offensive player, and there’s no doubt about that, but Madueke hasn’t been that convincing during his time at Stamford Bridge.
There certainly is a better option than anyone who thinks he’s very unlikely to pass Bukayo Saka in Mikel Arteta’s starting lineup.
Who else can sign in to the attack?
Arsenal has other options on the radar and is linked to Real Madrid forward Rodrigo.
Both are more exciting additions than Maduce, and are likely to actually appear on Arteta’s Starting XI more regularly than Chelsea’s Wideman.
Arsenal fans must also be a bit tired of the club signing players the Blues don’t want. He also brought in recent years Kepa Alizabaraga, Kai Herberts, Jorginho, David Lewis and Willian.
