According to a report by Kaieteur News, the woman at the heart of the incident struggled with repeated questions by various officers within Guyana police. This process, which is said to be emotionally exhausted, has suddenly come to an end formal interviews due to mental distress.

He took her home – the victim’s mother was supposed to speak
Speaking to Kaieteur News, the victim’s family said efforts were being made to cover up the sexual assault that allegedly occurred at a New Amsterdam residence in Bellvis on March 3, 2023. The victim was 18 years old at the time.
“She trusted him,” his mother said.
“She called me and said, ‘Mama, I’ll go out together (name is provided), I’ll be home by a certain time.” He saw her wandering around in the garden (provided in the area).
