Shams Charania has dropped a significant update on the future of the Denver Nuggets and Nicola Jokic under Denver Adelman.
The Denver Nuggets have been a chaotic team for the past few weeks. Just three games before the playoffs, the Nuggets fired former championship-winning coach Michael Malone.
David Adelman has become the new interim head coach. However, despite the changes, the Nuggets are on track and are currently leading the Clippers 3-2 in their first round series.
Nikola Jokic continues to impress not only with his fans, but also with his teammates like Jamal Murray. So Bill Simmons compared Jokic’s play to LeBron James in the legendary playoff run in 2018.
But is Nikola Jokic’s future at risk, as all these changes have been made to the Nuggets? Well, we got a massive update on this from Shams Charania.

Speaking on the Pat McAfee Show, NBA insider Shamscharania revealed how Nikola Jokic feels with the Denver Nuggets.
He noted that Jokic is more comfortable with his leadership role under David Adelman and uses his strength to influence his young Nuggets teammates.
“When I talk to people around Denver, they say that Nikola Djokic is finally pleased with his strength, his influence and who he is as a player.”
“We didn’t see him as empirical or vocal before, but now he’s showing it. It’s not just the power he gets. It’s not just ‘I can fire this coach’, but we can trade this player. “How can I affect my teammates?”
“This is the first time I’ve seen a career where Nicola Djokic does it every night, and he’s trying to influence how his teammates are behaving and how they play…”
“When I saw Nikola Djokic talking to some of his younger teammates on that roster, he’s as vocal as we’ve ever witnessed.”

The Denver Nuggets appear to head to Game 7 alongside the LA Clippers, who dominate in Game 6 at the time of this writing.
The final game 7 the Nuggets played against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Jokic and the Nuggets want to make that memory one of the distant past. And the best way to do so is to run a deep playoff.
The Nuggets are undoubtedly flawed in terms of roster construction. But when they have Jokic, the best player in the world, they have a chance to win the championship.
