Shaquille O’Neal doesn’t rate himself any more than these 10 NBA legends he considers to be the best of all time.
The NBA is the gold standard for global basketball. The best players from around the world are aiming to reach the league one day.
However, not everyone can achieve their dreams. So it becomes even more special when a player can be established as one of the greatest ever.
Each person’s mileage for a particular star varies. But great men are thought to have a reason. And the NBA has a lot of incredible players, with nearly 80 years of history.
One of them was definitely Shaquille O’Neal. But the most dominant man in NBA history has at least ten legends that he places before him.

Shaquille O’Neal has named the top 10 NBA players ever to the highest ever in a Netflix social media post. Initially, O’Neill included himself.
But the big man chose humility and removed himself from 10th place. His final list is as follows, with Michael Jordan at the top and former teammate Kobe Bryant at number two.
- Michael Jordan
- Kobe Bryant
- LeBron James
- Magic Johnson
- Bill Russell
- Wilt Chamberlain
- Rally Bird
- Hakeem Olajuwon
- Tim Duncan
- Julius’s Dr. J’erving
O’Neal’s list is pretty strong, but some argue in favor of his inclusion. But there’s no denying that the player he named has won his spot on the best list of all time.
Of course, some may insist on placing all players. The top three names in particular are used as fuel for goat discussion.

O’Neal has been humbled and chose to remove himself from the list, but it’s really hard to oppose his inclusion among the 10 greatest players ever.
Over his 19-year NBA career, O’Neal has represented seven teams, winning four NBA championships, three Final MVPs, regular season MVPs, Rookie of the Year awards, two scoring titles, 15 All-Star selections, 14 All-NBA selections and three All-Defan-on selections.
Shaq’s career count reads like a video game as he scored 28,596 points, 13,099 rebounds and 2,732 blocks. With his numbers and praise, can anyone deny his presence on the list?
More than his numbers and admiration, his plays made him a common name. As an absolute locomotive for the court, there is a reason why O’Neal is remembered as the most dominant player in NBA history.
To this day, I wonder who can protect Shaquille O’Neill for all ages. If anything, this discourse only promotes his case as the top ten player of all time.
