Shara Magomedov made a contender for a fight against Canadian powerhouse Marc-André Barrault at UFC Abu Dhabi on Saturday.
The “bullet” leg kick was the story of the first stanza while Baria held herself against Magomedov and pushed the pace and did a solid clinch work. The trend continued second as barriers struggled to close the gap and refused the attack.
The “Power Bar” finally broke through near the halfway point of the round, landing his vicious right hand, rearranged Magomedov’s nose. From there, the barrier took over and landed another size just before Daguestani was muscular on the mat. Magomedov returned in less than a minute and landed a solid elbow on the clinch.
The barrier appeared to gas himself with a grappling, allowing Magomedov to tee off in the final 20 seconds.
It took over from the second end to the third momentum. Barrier returned to work in the clinch, and “bullets” illuminated him with various strikes.
Magomedov concluded the round, unloading the Canadians and dropping the ground and pound just before the final bell.
Official Results:Shara Magomedov def. Mark Andre Barrier (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) with unanimous decision.
