Arsenal defender Miles Lewis Skelly was fortunate that Antonio Rudiger was not seriously injured when he was engraved on him in last night’s Champions League match.
The Real Madrid defender somehow never even received a yellow card for a nasty challenge that could undoubtedly become a red card attack.
Lewis Skelly was thankfully not injured by Rudiger on this occasion, but such stamps would be very badly hurt at some point, if it were something Rudiger does regularly.
See below for a screenshot of Rudiger’s horrifying stamps about Lewis Skelly in last night’s big game on Bernabeu…
Lewis Skelly is not the kind of player Arsenal wants to lose to an injury, and the 18-year-olds are a proven absolute revelation on their team this season.
Gunner has produced some incredible talent from the academy in recent years, and Lewis Skelly now looks like an uncontroversial starter on Mikel Arteta’s part.
Another Hale End alumnus Buka Yosaka scored the opening goal for Arsenal last night, scoring in the famous 2-1 victory over Real Madrid.
Will Arsenal be able to avoid more injuries and win the Champions League?
In general, Arsenal has been really unlucky with injuries this season, and Saka has missed many games and has recently returned.
Meanwhile, Kai Herberts, Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Magalges will not play again this season due to long-term issues.
Ben White has missed out on a lot of football this season, but Martin Odegard was on the campaign a few weeks ago.
If Arsenal keeps the fit for everyone else, they definitely have a real shot in winning the Champions League.
The AFC managed to beat Real 5-1 with Aggregate, even with Mikel Merino playing as a makeshift striker on both feet.
