Shohei Ohtani made more history for the in Los Angeles on Tuesday night.

On the same day, he pitched five no-hit innings against the dominant Philadelphia Phillies lineup, making Ohatani the first player in over 20 years to hit more than 50 home runs in a back-to-back season. He is also the sixth player in MLB history, and has been a consecutive 50-home running season. Here is the complete list:

Otani is also the only player in the history of the franchise, hitting at least 50 home runs in the season, and he did it twice in his first two years with the organization.
Shohei Ohtani’s 2025 season is better than 2024
Otani’s 2024 season was historic, but the 2025 season could be even better as he invented a 50-run/50 stolen base club.
Otani returns to the mound this year, boasting a 3.29 ERA with 54 strikeouts in 41 innings.
Offensively, he cut .282/.395/.611 with 50 home runs, 94 RBI and OPS 1.006.

He is yet another MVP award-winning front runner. Only Barry Bonds has won three or more MVP awards in MLB history.
