The world of baseball has finally been able to see players rave about the Los Angeles for all the lengths of the offseason.
Roki Sasaki started Game 2 of the MLB Tokyo Series and was about six hours from where he grew up to begin his major league career. Over three innings, the 23-year-old pitched three strikeouts, allowing one hit and one run to win. Sasaki won with his debut.

The 23-year-old is already a well-known figure in Japan considering his elite pitching status as he was a teenager. Meanwhile, Shohei Ohtani is someone considered a superhero in Japan.
He gave the rookie a very high rating after the match via SportsNet LA.
“I think Loki did a really great job, and today gave me the opportunity to win,” he said.
Otani, Sasaki and the third roster, Japan-born player, helped the plan their team’s dinner when they arrived in their home country.
According to the three MVPs, the hospitality that their fellows showed and the way their team experienced Japanese culture were just as valuable as the game played.
“We are delighted to have our teammates experience Japan on and off the field, but most importantly, it’s really big for us to have two victories,” Otani said. “I’m happy that we’ll be back in the US with a good note.”
The two victories are just a few of what this team brings back to Los Angeles.
Sasaki didn’t just have a historic start at Tokyo Dome, but perhaps the entire organization threw his first MLB pitch and gave him a deep breath.
Phenom had so many question marks surrounding his play, but he showed a flash of glow on the mound. Sasaki is not a finished product, but he is poised to go to the big leagues.
After three games that don’t count towards their record, the ‘ home opener will be on March 27th at Stadium against the Detroit Tigers.
