After a slow start to the transfer window, which seemed like they were doing little, Arsenal exploded into life this week.
Mikel Arteta’s side may still be some distance from signing the marquee striker, but based on reports from the past few days, they appear very close to securing the services of Christian Norgaard and Kepa Alizabaraga – and Martin Zubimendi’s contract is more than ever guaranteed.
Interestingly, some links to the incredibly talented Ebebeki Eze will also be a very exciting addition to the Gunners team these days.
But if more recent stories can be believed, Andrea Berta and Co may be seeing another English talent that will make them even better sign the Crystal Palace star.
Arsenal Chase England Star
There have been a lot of things that didn’t work for them this season, but Arsenal’s biggest problem was their lack of cutting edge, and sometimes creativity.
So with that in mind, the club has linked many great offensive players, including many English internationals like Anthony Gordon and Eze, in a few weeks.
The former reportedly has a price tag of around £80 million, and although he didn’t have the best campaign ever this year, he was still reasonably effective, earning 16 goals involved in 42 games.
Meanwhile, Eze has a release clause worth £68 million in its current deal, so bringing it to Emirates isn’t a bit easy.
But as a 26-year-old talented and exciting player, the people of North London appear to be looking at another three Lions stars as alternatives, if not a complete upgrade.
At least that’s according to a recent Express report that Arsenal claims to be very interested in Morgan Rodgers.
In fact, the report goes a step further, revealing that after making initial contact more than a month ago, the gunners are discussing the potential deal with the 22-year-old camp.
However, given his importance to Claret and Blue, the report argues that if they want to get their man, they need an offer of around £70 million from North Londoners.
It’s a costly, potentially complicated transfer that can get over that point, but it’s one Arsenal Pseudo, especially given Rogers’ immeasurable abilities and possibilities, especially since he’s a serious upgrade for Eze.
How Rogers compares to Eze
So, why should Arsenal try to sign Eze to Rogers this summer, as their price tags are roughly the same?
Well, the first reason related to output in the Premier League this season is that Villa Dynamo scored eight goals and was able to provide 11 assists in 37 appearances, which averages every 1.94 games.
In contrast, the previous QPR GEM scored eight goals and provided eight assists in 34 appearances.
The second reason to choose a jewel from Hallesawen is that his advantages extend to the number of underlying his advantages over the ace of the palace.
For example, he performs incredibly well with most relevant metrics, such as progressive passes and carry, and with goal-creating actions that help demonstrate creative potential, both off-wing and mid-field.

Finally, the former Manchester City prospect is four years younger than the 26-year-old Eagles star, and has already played in the Champions League and has competed near the top of the Premier League, so the transition to title challenger is easier for him.
Ultimately, both players will be Arsenal’s incredible signature this summer, but thanks to his better output, underlying numbers, experience and the fact that he is much younger, Arsenal should try to sign Rogers.
