Crystal Palace Manager Oliver Grasner looked back at the club’s fate.
In just a few months of space, the manager led the Premier League side to the first two major silverware.
Glasner’s Palace team beat Manchester City for the first time in the FA Cup final, winning their first major silverware.
They now add a community shield to the cabinet after beating Liverpool at Wembley in a penalty shootout.
The manager showed that he could perform a surprising turn to the club despite limited resources.
Crystal Palace warned about Oliver Grasner’s future
Glasner will join the palace to provide fans with optimism for the future, following his success in Eintrak Frankfurt, but he would not have envisaged such an outcome.
If successful, you are responsible, and it can now put the palace in a difficult situation.
The club’s former president, Simon Jordan, has warned about Glasner’s future, claiming that he can leave Selhurst Park if the manager is not supported by the transfer market after his recent success.
Speaking about the Jim White Show at Talksport, Jordan said:
“Glasner must have had a conversation with Parish, he must have had an explicit level.
“And if he doesn’t get it, the palace will continue, but if they don’t back him to some degree, they will lose Glasner earlier than they would later.
“But the finances aren’t very big. If you win the FA Cup, you don’t get much money.”
The palace needs to assist managers after recent success
The palace has only signed two signatures this summer. Goalkeeper Walter Benitez and fullback Borna Sosa have arrived at Selhurst Park, but the main issue is the future of some of the players now.
Two of their star players, captain Mark Guech and midfielder Ebeki Eze, were able to leave the club before the end of the transfer window this summer.
Guehi is heavily chased by Premier League champion Liverpool, but Eze has been attracting the attention of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
It’s important for the Eagles to keep these two players more than any other signature.
It seems very unlikely that Guehi will remain with the club due to contract status, but the club will have to take the valuable replacement to assist the market managers if that happens.
