A recent tweet about Skip Bayless Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James hasn’t sat well with NBA fans.
The Los Angeles Lakers are undoubtedly one of the most popular teams in the NBA, with superstar LeBron James being a big reason.
Despite being 40 years old, James plays well and generates a lot of money in purple and gold. James and the Lakers have already been eliminated from the 2025 NBA playoffs, but they continue to be a major debate point for the media.
This was once again demonstrated when veteran NBA analyst Skip Bayless led James to the ceremony during a Western Conference Finals game between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The face of the NBA, James has faced a lot of criticism throughout his 22-year career in the league. Of all of them, it’s rare for many to benefit from calling 4x NBA champions over Skip Bayless.
Sometimes, Bayless feels that he comes out of his comfort zone to criticise James, and he proves it again through his X-handle tweets.
“I miss you, LeBron – I miss your play, your melodramatic subplot, your fourth quarter’s loss of disappearance,” Bayless tweeted.
NBA fans were quickly furious at Bayless’s tweet, calling out veteran X analysts.
“Don’t get involved in anything else?” the fan asked. Another was added, but “Skip’s entire career just hates Bron.”
“If it’s not for LeBron, I don’t know you,” one fan trolled.
“My money is Skip retirement when Bron does,” fans predicted.
Fans said: “This is a bit strange.”
The verdict after seeing the fans’ reaction is that they are “displeased with Bayless’s constant disregard” of James’s career and achievements.
If Bayless is the candidate to be the biggest critic of James’ career, ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith is the closest in many eyes.
Smith and James were already involved with beef for the former comment about Bronnie James during the regular season.
Since then, Smith has tried to find a new way to widen his argument with the King. With that in mind, Stephen A recently made a big charge about James.
“What we have to understand, and what’s important about this conversation is, when we discuss goats, the negativity of it comes from LeBron and his camp,” Smith said.
ESPN analysts made the claim after Michael Jordan’s agent David Folk shot James about his location in a goat argument.
