Crystal Palace is trapped in the capture of Walter Benitez, and he joins the club on a free transfer.
According to Sky Sports, the 32-year-old has completed his contract with PSV this month and has already completed his medicine at Crystal Palace over the weekend. It would be interesting to see if players can join the club on a free transfer and force their path into the starting lineup next season.
Benitez has shown his quality in the Netherlands and it remains to be seen whether he will be able to make his mark in British football. Signing a player of his quality and experience on a free transfer could prove to be a wise decision from the London club.
Crystal Palace needs more depth
Crystal Palace needs to improve its team this summer. Signing a potential bargain like Benitez helps add much needed depth to the sides. They are scheduled to compete in the UEFA Europa League next season after winning the FA Cup.
They need a deeper team to do well across multiple competitions. Oliver Glasner wants to add more quality to his side this summer. It will be interesting to see if Crystal Palace can bring the necessary reinforcements over the coming weeks.
Walter Benitez will try to make his mark in the UK
Crystal Palace, on the other hand, is a big club and the opportunity to join them is very exciting for the 32-year-old. This is an opportunity for him to show off his qualities at a high level in the Premier League. It would be interesting to see if he could help improve the palace.
There is no doubt that they have talented players at their disposal. There is no reason why the campaign cannot be successful because of the depth in the aspects of the upcoming season.
