Aston Villa and Leeds United are one of the main clubs that have expressed interest in the potential signature of Strasbourg midfielder Habib Diala.
The versatile 21 year old has shown he is a great young talent in his recent performance in League One, and well-connected sources in the industry are notified Catch off side That he could move this summer.
No formal consultations or negotiations have yet to be held, Catch off side Strasbourg is said to be willing to sell Diara for a fee in the 30 million euro area, amid interest from Premier League clubs.
Villa and Leeds are closely monitoring Diala, but Everton, Nottingham Forest, Brighton and Eintrak Frankfurt are also understood to be worshippers of Senegal International.
Can Chelsea sign Habibdiara using the Strasbourg link?
An interesting name to see in all of this may be Chelsea, which is not currently considered to show strong interest in Diara, but it has a connection with Strasbourg because it is owned by Blue Co.
Although Chelsea’s interest was not confirmed at this stage, a well-placed source speculated that “Chelsea can also play a role in the transfer process.”
It is not yet clear whether this will be anything, but the CFC imagines this as an opportunity to sign Diarra first and take control of his future.
This allows them to lend Diala to other clubs of interest to increase their value before selling profits or take a closer look at him before using him on their first team.
What’s next for Habib Diara?
Diarra finished with four goals and five assists in League One last season, playing in the middle of the centre and even ahead of the game in Strasbourg.
It seems clear that former French Youth International has a big future in the game. So it will be interesting to see who can win the race for his signature this summer.
