West Ham is busy this summer as they are looking to recover from a very poor Premier League season, so we expect significant team changes. And the possibility of signing may be someone they already have in their book.
West Ham was announced for business during the transfer period last summer, with one of the players arriving being Carlos Soller. The Spanish midfielder joined from PSG on loan during the season, but despite important expectations, he has largely struggled to make an impact at London Stadium.
However, Soler himself seemed to enjoy life under West Ham, particularly Graham Potter. This allowed him to stay at the club permanently.
Carlos Solar wants to stay at West Ham permanently
In an interview with the club’s website (via West Ham Zone), Soller revealed he was welcome to stay at West Ham.
“It wasn’t what I expected, nor what the team or fans expected in terms of goals, because when we arrived at this big club, the goal wasn’t where we were. The goal was an ambitious project that we were trying to do better than last year with a lot of new players and new coaches.
“But I’m really enjoying the season here, despite not being in a position to be with. I live here in London and enjoy playing with this team, playing in front of this crowd and these incredible fans.
“I’ve always tried to do my best in training and games, but sometimes in football, the way you want doesn’t happen, but this year I’m having fun in the UK.
Solar was expected to leave West Ham when his loan deal expired, but his desire to stay could change things.
