Southampton attacker Tyler Dives has linked their moves away from the club during the summer transfer period.
According to former Premier League scout Mick Brown, the players have interests from Newcastle and Liverpool. However, he believes that attackers should join clubs like Crystal Palace instead.
The Eagles are also interested in the 19-year-old attacker. Brown believes that Diling needs to play regularly at this stage of his career, and the likes of Newcastle and Liverpool may not be able to offer him the opportunity. The Palace is in a position to provide him with more game time, and it remains to be seen how the situation will develop.
Diling urged Liverpool and Newcastle to snub
Brown revealed to Football Insider: “I was interested in it from Newcastle and Liverpool, but if he goes to either of those two, it will be for the future, not an immediate first team option.
“From his perspective, he needs to play regular football at this stage of his career.
“A place like Crystal Palace would be a better move for him.
“They are said to be interested and will be ready to offer him more normal football.”
Crystal Palace can use Tyler diving
The London Club may lose Ebekieze this summer and will need a quality alternative. The 19-year-old Southampton attacker could be a quality alternative. He adds goals and creativity from the side to the side. He is said to be a “special” player.
Southampton has been relegated to the championship, and younger attackers will want to move on. He’s too good for the second part of British football. He’ll want to go back to top flights next season, and it’s still unclear where he’s finished. He is a future prospect with enormous potential and could be an asset to the club that he was able to sign him this summer.
Meanwhile, Liverpool may use more depth on the sides, especially if they end up selling Federico Chiesa. The Italian struggled with regular game time last season and was able to sell in the summer. Newcastle, meanwhile, requires another attacker to complete Front 3. Diveri, along with Alexander Isaac and Anthony Gordon, could be the ideal acquisition for them.
