Arsenal and Liverpool have been criticized for missing out on the move of Paris Saint-Germain star Kvicha Kvaratzkeria.
Georgia International has been a world-class performer in recent years, first calling himself his name in Naples and has continued to shine since moving to PSG in January.
A little surprising, it seemed PSG could sign Kvaratskhelia this winter without any challenges from other top clubs.
That seems even stranger now. Kvaratskhelia is working very well against Arsenal in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals last night.
The 24-year-old terrified Arsenal’s defense, but it’s clear that he could have been a major asset to the Premier League club.
Khvicha kvaratskhelia’s move appears to have missed out on the opportunity for Arsenal and Liverpool
After last night’s match on Kvaratskhelia, Arsenal journalist Charles Watts expressed surprise in January that there was no fight for his signature.
His latest exclusive writing Catch off side In his column, Watts said: “Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is a special player. There aren’t many attackers who can make Julientimber look uncomfortable, but Kvaratskhelia certainly did that in the opening with the Emirates.
“It’s hard to see the performances he’s done since moving to Paris. I don’t think about what would have happened for Arsenal if they were going to land the winger when he became available in Naples.
“Arsenal was supposed to be everywhere he was at the time and I said nothing changed my mind about it.
“I love watching him. The way he plays, the way he likes to run at fullback. He’s just a proper winger and a player who grabs your foot every time he gets the ball.
“He would have been a great addition to the Premier League and I know that Liverpool is said to be keen to land him.
“But PSG moved quickly behind the scenes and made sure they were in front of the queue.”
Can Khvicha Kvaratskhelia be the spark that will lead PSG to Champions League glory?
Kvaratskhelia scored the winning goal for Arsenal last night by Oousmane Dembele. PSG must be considered one of their big favorites to win the Champions League this season.
Kvaratskhelia is certainly one of the main players that he sees in the second leg as well, and Arsenal has to work out how to deal with him better.
Although we still have a second leg, the PSG is in a great position and we are certainly confident in getting the job done from home.
Then Kvaratskhelia and Co. Certainly they must feel that they are showing their qualifications as potential European champions.
