As Sunrisers Hyderabad is about to start the season with a victory, we’re seeing SRH play 11 in the match against RR.
SRH Play 11 vs Rajasthan Royals-IPL 2025, Match 2:
Opener: Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma
Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma are set to be openers for SRH Play 11. They were undoubtedly the most devastating openers in the IPL last season and are trying to replicate their performance again. Head and Sharma’s performance at the top of the order was one of the main reasons behind SRH’s march to the final at IPL 2024.
Sharma recorded 484 runs with a strike rate of over 200. After the IPL success, he was also impressed with India with the T20IS, aiming to further enhance his reputation this season.
Meanwhile, the head has been one of the best openers in the world for quite some time, and he wants to deliver it in the bat again. Last season, he defeated 567 runs in 15 games in the 40s and the century.
Intermediate batters and all-arounds: Ishan Kishan, Nitish Lady, Heinrich Krassen, Abhinav Manohar, Wian Mulder
Sunrisers Hyderabad has further strengthened its lineup by adding Ishan Kishan to the team. The wicketkeeper batsman endures tough times in recent months and is desperate to revive his career. Keishan is one of the best wicketkeeper batsmen in the country and has been looking at a good outing in his maiden season with Sunrise Hyderabad. So far, he has scored 2,644 runs in 105 IPL matches, including the 16th 50s.
SRH also holds services from Nitish Reddy and Heinrich Klaasen this season. With the presence of Reddy and Klaasen, the SRH intermediates are one of the most frightening of the season. Lady took the cricket world by storm last year. After being impressed with the IPL, he continued his Team India debut with T20IS and ODI.
In his first IPL season, Reddy scored 303 runs in 15 games, in addition to getting three wickets. Meanwhile, Klaasen is one of the best white ball hitters in the world. Last year he recorded 479 runs with over 170 strike rates and is about to deliver with bats again.
Other intermediate options for SRH Play 11 are Abhinav Manohar and Wiaan Mulder. Manohar has a reputation for scoring quickly and has the ability to play cameos that sometimes wins in matches.
Meanwhile, Mulder is about to make an immediate impact this season, being replaced by an injured Bridon Carr’s Sunlisers Hyderabad. A talented all-arounder, Mulder has played 11 T20Is so far, earning 105 runs and eight wickets.
Bowlers: Pat Cummins, Hershal Patel, Mohammed Shami, Rahul Chahar
SRH is also under the extremely scary bowling attack of IPL 2025. Their amulet captain, Pat Cummins, is set to lead the pace attacks with Hershal Patel and Mohammed Shami the other Pacers.
Hershal was the best wicket taker of last season and wants to enjoy another good season. Rahul Chahar is expected to become the only frontline spinner of SRH Play 11.
