Alex Pallow continues his dominant run this season by acquiring poles at Midohio ahead of Arrow McLaren’s Christian Rungard.
Lundgaard was two-half slower than Palou, but the pair came in miles before the next driver, and Kyffin Simpson was third. Simpson’s third position was his best starting position at IndyCar, scoring at the expense of Kyle Kirkwood in round two.
Nolan Siegel driving for the Arrom Claren will also start at his best qualifying position in the fourth.
Kirkwood is the only race winner at Bar Palou in 2025, finishing in the race seventh. Obviously, you are troubled by the outcome, and there is still an opportunity to recover from that position.
Last year’s race winner Patooward joined Kirkwood, where surprise was knocked out and eliminated in Round 1 of Group 1. He will be in 15th place.
Another blow to the Penske team saw all three drivers on the team struggle during the session, and no one reached round two.
Josef Newgarden is the best starting penski car on the 18th, with Scott McLaughlin and Willpower starting side by side on the 21st and 22nd respectively.
