Steph Curry says LeBron James and Kyrie Irving played on levels in three games they've never seen before

Steph Curry faced the duo of Lebron James and Kyrie Irving for the third consecutive year, from 2015 to 2017.

Steph Curry managed to win two of the three rings during this period, but the 2016 loss is constantly spoken for the way the Cleveland Cavaliers returned from a 3-1 deficit and won the championship.

Curry only averaged 22 points, so it didn’t have the best series.

Meanwhile, LeBron James and Kyrie Irving played brilliantly for the Cavs, averaging 29 for the former and 27 for the series.

The duo carried teams throughout the series by constantly creating big plays.

However, one particular game that showed how special they were was Game 5, as the duo were combined to score 82 points that night.

No team returned from a 3-1 deficit in the previous NBA Finals, but the Cavaliers were confident in their roster.

Irving was a young guard, but everyone could see his talent.

He shared the advice Kobe Bryant gave him.

James had won two championships before this, but he was against the Golden State Warriors team, who won 72 games that season.

The two knew that beating dubs would be a difficult job, but they trusted their abilities and played elite basketball to do things they couldn’t think of.

Speaking about the James and Irving duo at the 2016 NBA Finals, Curry said:

“Like it was the craziest thing I’ve ever seen. Bron and Kylie were just above it.

“We played well. They played just right. It was hard to see that vibe where we couldn’t do anything about it.”

James and Irving did an amazing job in expanding the series.

However, their Game 7 performance has earned them a lot of praise as the duo plays big in the final minutes to give the franchise their first championship.

James made a spectacular recovery block with Andre Irving made a clutch 3 without a minute taking the crotch 3, giving the Cavs a 93-89 victory.

“We still had the opportunity to win games 5 and 7, and Kevin’s love possessions are like me.

“It was much more time than I thought.”

He also added:

“But you can always tilt your hat to the person who has passed you. That’s what they did in three straight games.”
