The NBA is a fascinating sport. Sometimes it’s similar to a melodrama.
The biggest character of the last 20 years is LeBron James, now 40 years old, and he has reached a stage in his career and doesn’t want to hold him down any more.
The LA Lakers superstar has been upset when he recently stood up to Stephen A. Smith, following his controversy as a “father” “language” in connection with LeBron’s son Bronnie James.
LeBron James then tipped out further with Stephen A. Smith while appearing on the Pat McAfee Show.
The four-time NBA champion commented that Stephen A. Smith is constantly chirping about the incident, saying, “He’s now like a Taylor Swift Tour Run… he couldn’t wait for the video to come out…”
LeBron was not done there. He added:
“He’s back home, grabbed an ice cream from the _____g freezer and sat in his chair and clung to him on the couch.”
This was something that LeBron James hadn’t filtered out, so I had little to hear about what he had done before. And of course, Stephen. Smith had his say accordingly.
Stephen A. Smith responded via his own YouTube channel and immediately said:
He confronted the Knicks in the Lakers game, asking what the stars wanted, commenting, “Do you want this to be the reincarnation of Chris Rock and Will Smith?”
And then came a quote that went viral on social media.
The first take host claimed that LeBron had a “typical bully mentality.”
“Doesn’t the truth matter? There’s only one person telling the truth. That’s me.
“He has a lot of ass. There’s a lot of shady stuff he does, one of which is passive aggression and duality, and he’ll smile at your face and dig you behind your back.
“But it doesn’t stop me from being fair and calling it as I see it.”
He added that there can be a lot to say about LeBron. He also took a dig where the star chose to appear in “The Show That Comes After the First Take.”
Stephen A. Smith wasn’t the only one to catch LeBron James’ wrath when he appeared on the Pat McAfee Show.
He targeted NBA insider Brian Windhorst, and said, “Brian Windhorst says he’s my best friend. These guys are just weird.”
LeBron James also argued that his decision to sign with Nike years ago had nothing to do with Michael Jordan.
He explained:
And he had previously sparked controversy by claiming that if he played in the 1970s, Giannis Antetokounmpo could have scored 250 points in the game.
