The Houston Rockets are scattered in their fight against the Golden State Warriors, one loss away from elimination.
The Golden State Warriors moved to a 3-1 series lead with the second-seeded Houston Rockets, winning both home games after splitting on the road.
The series is chippy, with veteran Draymond Green at the heart of the controversy.
During the Warriors Game 4 victory, Green engaged in the incident with Tali Eason. Skip Bayless then accused him of kicking the Rockets player in his head, branding him “the most dirty player ever.”
One Houston Rockets player who knows everything about Draymond Green is veteran Stephen Adams, who faces him on multiple teams.
This includes his spells in the Grizzlies in Memphis, especially the Oklahoma City Thunder.
After his press conference match, Stephen Adams was asked if he was troubled by Green’s “flaring limbs.”
The 31-year-old New Zealander said, “It’s just a part of the game. It’s very competitive. You know, the playoffs are a different level of competition than the regular season.
“Look, people are just playing hard, you know what I mean. People are really playing hard, sometimes things happen. It’s not malicious. I think you’re just trying to win.”
Stephen Adams was asked to follow-up questions as to whether Draymond Greene had crossed boundaries with any of his actions.
He responded strongly.
“There’s nothing we think about. You don’t have to waste time guessing either of them. We’re enough to think in the game. The job of the judge is to make sure they stay within the boundaries.”
Adams’ comments are the correct approach and whining has no meaning. Rockets should simply focus and win all the effort into Game 5.
Draymond Green’s night was dedicated to controversial plays as well as a critical final stop to end the game, dubbing Steve Kerr as “the best defensive player” he’s ever seen.
