The Golden State Warriors are the only NBA team without a final roster for next season.
Jonathan Cuminga’s complicated contract situation has kept their offseason movements stagnant.
Signatures for players such as Al Horford, Gary Payton II and De’anthony Melton are pending.
Despite the uncertainty, Stephen Curry believes the Warriors have a great advantage towards a new campaign.
Curry expects the great advantages of Butler’s first full season in Golden State. The Superstar joined the Warriors during the season through trades, but there is a good time to integrate with the system.
“It’s a huge advantage. It doesn’t necessarily guarantee results, but I think it really helps us what our best self is, what everyone should be, and how we should give good expectations,” Curry explained.
The two-time MVP praised Jimmy Butler for his basketball intelligence and leadership qualities.
“Jimmy (IS) is a very high IQ dominant player, Draymond, I know he has a lot left, so we’ll take advantage of it. Get ready.
Butler successfully promoted the Warriors during a partial season, reducing pressure on Curry while making offensive attacks.
His 17.9 points per game represent a career-low, but Butler contributed 5.9 assists and 1.7 steel, showing his versatility.
The Warriors definitely fell due to Curry’s injuries last season after reaching the Western Conference semi-finals. With health and full integration, expectations have risen considerably.
Curry dismissed age concerns surrounding all Warriors veteran core, Butler and Draymond Green in their 30s.
“As we age, we have wisdom… we’re going to be well prepared for another run,” Curry said.
