Stephen Curry is set to enter its 17th year alongside the Golden State Warriors.
Following the overwhelming 2024-25 NBA season, the Golden State Warriors are hoping to return to their upcoming campaigns.
To do this, the organization needs Stephen Curry to be at his best in shining. Even at age 37, curry remains a major target for court opponents.
The most common tactic seen to slow down curry is to give him a physical defense. The assassin faced the baby finds a counter for a strategy that only LeBron James has.
Curry and James are both in Twilight years of NBA careers. But even at this stage of their careers, longtime rivals continue to be impressed in the offseason.
Speaking of which, Curry’s trainer Brandon Payne spoke to Mark Medina of Rg.org about Warriors Star gaining more power ahead of the new season.
“There’s certainly a toughness you have to have. He owns it. When it comes to understanding the harshness and the outside of an 82-game season.
“No one other than LeBron James knows if there’s anything better than Steph,” Payne said.
There’s a reason why Curry is still considered the best American player in the NBA. Despite being consistently slapped on hardwoods, it’s clearly his ability to get to the top.
Similarly, even at 40, James loves bulldozing through his enemies in paint to score freely for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Despite being among the oldest players in the league, what gives Curry and James the advantage over the physical defense they’ve played against them?
Now, Payne believes it’s because the duo must always deal with targets on their backs.
“I think Steph and Lebron probably have an understanding that is on a slightly different level from others, as they have always been targets not just between games but throughout the league for a long time,” Payne continued.
“So they know how to navigate it a lot better than I do. It’s our job to provide him with offseason stimulation to prepare for the 82 games and the playoffs,” Payne concluded.
Well, that’s a solid review of Curry and James’ game. Another thing that gives them an edge is how well they adjust their game in terms of their age.
Curry openly stated that he would not try to dunk for the rest of his NBA career, because of how painful the experience last season was. It shows that the 4x NBA champion is ready to step back to extend his career.
